For our client, we are looking for a Senior C++ Developer to join an exciting and innovative journey in modernizing IT architectures and migrating on-prem applications to Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO).
About the Role
As a Senior C++ Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend applications used across different truck divisions within Volvo Group. These applications support key business functions such as technical calculations, truck manufacturing, and sales order specifications. Your role will be essential in transitioning these applications into scalable and robust cloud services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend C++ applications that handle truck parameters and Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Participate in the migration of on-prem applications to ARO (Azure Red Hat OpenShift)
- Implement and maintain REST APIs for seamless integration
- Ensure containerization using Podman/Docker
- Collaborate closely with engineering stakeholders to align IT solutions with business needs
- Contribute to an agile team environment, following Scrum methodologies
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with C++ development
- Proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap
- Experience with ARO (Azure Red Hat OpenShift) and Oracle
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Podman/Docker)
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and web services
- Familiarity with Python for scripting and automation
- Experience with version control systems (GIT, Bitbucket)
Desired Skills
- Several years of experience in PHP
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with message queue concepts (e.g., IBM MQ)
