We are looking for an experienced Site Coordination Lead to manage the daily construction activities on large-scale projects, particularly within the energy, oil, gas, or associated process industries. This role is key in ensuring smooth project execution while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead daily construction activities, ensuring clear communication and coordination during daily meetings with site coordinators and schedulers.
- Oversee daily and weekly contractor reporting, addressing any discrepancies and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in the daily construction plan to ensure smooth project execution.
- Adapt and recalibrate plans based on progress updates and reports from site coordinators.
- Coordinate potential updates with schedulers in collaboration with project control teams.
- Lead, mentor, and provide resources and support to site coordinators.
- Foster a collaborative environment between site coordinators, construction teams, and contractors.
- Uphold a safety-first culture by ensuring strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Provide regular updates to the Construction Management Lead on progress, performance, challenges, and solutions.
- Manage deviations from the plan and collaborate with the Construction Management Lead to create strategies for resolution.
- Assist in coordinating contractors to ensure adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: Significant experience in construction management and site coordination (10+ years), preferably within large-scale projects in the energy, oil, gas, or process industries.
- Skills: Excellent organizational, planning, communication, and interpersonal skills; proven leadership and team motivation capabilities; strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction management principles, HSE regulations, contractor management, and quality control.
- Competencies: Strong ability to manage multiple site coordinators and activities, thrive in high-pressure environments, and maintain a focus on safety, quality, and timely project delivery.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Languages: Proficiency in Swedish and English (both written and spoken) is required. Proficiency in Italian or other languages is a plus.
- Other: Strong attention to detail, proactive in issue resolution, and capable of reporting on site coordination performance metrics.
