DevOps Engineer – Ansible

Soros Consulting is looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer with a strong background in Ansible to join a long-term assignment for one of our key clients in the energy sector. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a high-impact initiative focused on enterprise-wide automation and digital transformation.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

Develop automation use cases using Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)

Take a key role in enabling automation tooling and capabilities across the client’s landscape, with a strong focus on Ansible

Build software pipelines, deploy and monitor services

Act as an automation advisor—driving best practices, frameworks, and knowledge sharing

Collaborate with internal teams to translate automation needs into efficient technical solutions

What we’re looking for:

Proactive and self-driven personality

5+ years of experience with Ansible Development

Solid experience using YAML for configuration management and automation tasks

Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python (preferred), Bash, or PowerShell

A team player who thrives in multidisciplinary and multicultural environments

Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken

Willingness to both teach and learn

Nice to have:

Experience with common server administration tasks (e.g. deploying software, modifying configurations)

Familiarity with Saltstack

Experience with tools such as Git, Artifactory, and vRealize
