About the Role:
Soros is recruiting for a Chief Logistics Officer (CLO) for a leading global logistics and transportation provider. This senior executive role will involve overseeing the logistics and supply chain strategy across Northern Europe, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and cost optimization. The CLO will lead a large team and work closely with senior leadership to drive strategic decisions in the transportation sector.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the logistics strategy for the company’s Northern European operations, focusing on efficient, secure, and timely transportation.
- Oversee and optimize the transportation network, including road, air, and sea freight.
- Implement and enforce security protocols to safeguard shipments and ensure compliance with international logistics standards.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and improved operational performance.
- Collaborate with regional and global leadership to ensure alignment with the overall business strategy.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain leadership, with at least 5 years in an executive role.
- Proven expertise in managing transportation strategies at a global scale, including air, sea, and road freight.
- Strong understanding of logistics safety, compliance, and risk management.
- Excellent leadership skills, with experience managing diverse teams.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Norwegian or other Scandinavian languages is a plus.
